The DGTL Agency

The DGTL Agency (The Agency) is a student-run digital marketing agency housed in the VSU chapter of the American Marketing Association. Composed of students from a variety of majors and backgrounds, our goal is to provide students with hands-on consulting and marketing experience through partnerships with local companies. We work with real-world clients to produce business solutions in all areas of marketing, design, and communication, including social media management, content creation, SEO, research, and marketing plans.

Director of The Agency

The Director serves as the visionary leader of The Agency, providing strategic guidance and overseeing its holistic functioning. The Director represents The Agency at VSU-AMA board meetings and reports the activities of The Agency as required. Working with the faculty advisor and other executive board members, they perform all duties required to lead The Agency. Requirements: 2.5 GPA. Must have strong leadership and time management skills. Agree to commit roughly 5 hours per week to manage, lead, and represent The Agency.

Assistant Director

The Assistant Director collaborates closely with the Director, contributing strategic insights and facilitating cross-departmental initiatives. Their support enriches decision-making and ensures the alignment of our efforts with our overarching mission. The Assistant Director shall perform the duties of the Director in the Director's absence (This is an ideal training position for a student interested in assuming the VP/Director role). Requirements: 2.5 GPA Must have strong leadership and time management skills. Agree to commit roughly 5 hours per week to manage, lead, and represent The Agency.

Account Managers

Works under the Director and with other departments to solve clients' problems and challenges. Leads team of student specialists on marketing projects for clients and helps the team adhere to project deadlines. Works with members of the team and assign tasks and due dates so that all parts of the project progress as it should, and the team can deliver to the client as requested. Serves as the main point of contact between student team and client. Connects the client's needs with the skills of the specialists. Requirements: 2.0 GPA. Must have a strong understanding of marketing concepts. Communicate professionally with clients and team members. Agree to commit roughly 5 hours per week on project deliverables/communication.

Account Specialists

Works under the Account Manager to produce content that addresses clients' problems and challenges. Work together with the account manager to make sure the client's needs are met. Serve on student consultant team collaborating on marketing projects for clients. Types of account specialist may include: Web Development & SEO, Social media, Research, Public relations/Publicity, Video, Photography, Graphic design, Marketing Strategy.
Requirements: Requirements: 2.0 GPA. Complete assigned tasks and report to director on a weekly basis. Agree to commit roughly 4 hours per week on project deliverables/communication

Membership

The Agency is a hands-on team! We work with real clients on real projects. Thus, it requires committed students with initiative, the ability to meet strict deadlines, willingness to complete work on their own and ability to work in a team. Therefore, members of The Agency must apply and be approved for membership by the current team and faculty advisor(s).

Membership is open to all currently enrolled VSU students. Members of The Agency must first join VSU-AMA (membership dues are currently $29/yr). Per university guidelines, students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 to join.
